Vietnam is a pretty easy country to travel to and if you are a Filipino traveling abroad for the first time, this country should be on top of your choices. It's Visa-Free and perfect for those on a tight budget. Here are some tips you might find useful.

GETTING THERE

Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are two of the best entry points to get to Vietnam. Other major cities like Da Nang also cater to international carriers but flights are pretty limited.

ACCOMMODATION

Book your accommodation in advance. It may sound more ideal to look for cheap hostels once you get there but just to save you the hassle, might as well make your reservation ahead of time as good places tend to run out fast.

FOOD & DRINKS

 Food in Vietnam is amazingly delicious and they are very affordable. Pho, Bon Bo Hue and Bun Cha are a must try. And their coffee.. Uh. Heaven. 

CONNECTIVITY

Public places in Vietnam such as train stations, airport and restaurants are usually powered by free wifi but if you would like to stay connected all the time, better to buy a local sim card.
